Baron de Ley Reserva
Barón de Ley Reserva is a wine from the D.O. La Rioja made by the Barón de Ley winery. This wine is a Tempranillo monovarietal, the best known and most used variety in the area.
The grapes used by Barón de Ley Reserva were born in the vineyards of the winery located around Mendavia. The cultivation of the land is done according to conventional methods, and the harvest is done manually.
Once in the cellar, the harvested clusters are destemmed in a first time and then enter a phase of alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. During this phase, a constant temperature of about 30 degrees is maintained, we carry out different overhauls in a single time, and the evolution of the wines is supervised daily.
After having completed the vinification and winemaking phases, Barón de Ley Reserva rests for 20 months in American oak barrels. After that, the wine ages 2 more years in bottles.
The first bottles of Barón de Ley were commercialized in 1990. Promoted by a group of prestigious professionals in this sector, the winery has managed to gain a foothold in the wine world of La Rioja through time.
